My mom and her sister are the last remaining siblings of the Jones family. It's really awful how my uncle died. I have been thinking about him and how his life ended and it makes me terribly sad. You have to understand he wasn't the world's best uncle, dad, brother or husband but to have him leave this earth so tragically is just horrific. I pray that his soul has found it's eternal resting place and as my brother so eloquently put it, "That he has had the talk with St. Peter and has made his way into the pearly gates."My mother is beyond strong. I don't understand her strength at times. It baffles me but she just keeps it moving. She was glad soooooo many people showed up for the services. Made her feel good for her nephew, his only remaining son of 5 boys. His pool hall buddies were choked up and expressed their grief but made us see another side of my uncle and for that I'm grateful. He loved pool and played every Sunday for over 40 years as stated by one of his buddies.
Thanks to all that reached out to comfort, via this internet, called and sent cards. It is very much appreciated.
No leads or suspects on the case as of yet. We can only pray that someone knows something and will inform the authorities with that knowledge. *sigh*

No known motives either?? The violence worldwide seems out of control, I heard on the news all the craziness going on in Chicago esp with the young man beaten to death after school. This is sad.
ReplyDeleteI would say you are blessed to have a strong mother, reading about your uncles love of pool made me think how obsessed I am with the game. Loves it.
Once again condolences to your family, and I pray the person(s) responsible will be found! It is a terrible way to die, I hope he has found peace. The soul really is deathless.

My aunt is here from Chicago and she talked about this crime and others happening there and all across the country. We all have to stay in prayer- the world have changed and not for the betterment. Glad your mom is so strong.
